Valtteri Bottas teases Drive to Survive episode after Cadillac signing sparked Netflix call

Valtteri Bottas, the driver representing Cadillac in Formula 1, recently received a call from the producers of Netflix’sDrive to Surviveshortly after finalizing his contract with the American team for the 2026 season.

Cadillac is set to join the Formula 1 grid as the 11th competitor in 2026, fielding a seasoned driver lineup that includes Bottas and former Red Bull racer Sergio Perez. The team will be led by principal Graeme Lowdon, with Zhou Guanyu serving as the reserve driver and Colton Herta taking on the role of the third driver.

“Yes, they have [been in touch]. They want to start planning, but it’s how it always goes, they always want to have time with every driver. Will they use it or not? That’s what they decide later on,” Bottas shared with F1 photographer Kym Illman.
