Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for the eighth season ofDrive to Survive, set to debut on the streaming service on February 27, 2026.
This upcoming season will delve into both the exhilarating on-track and behind-the-scenes narratives from the 2025 Formula 1 season. The trailer provides a glimpse into what viewers can expect, beginning with scenes from the F1-75 showcase held in London.
Under the vibrant blue lights of the stadium, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri excitedly addressed the camera, proclaiming, “This is the moment we have all been waiting for.”
The preview also highlights the rookie drivers entering the 2025 season, including Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, Isack Hadjar, Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan, and Liam Lawson, with Doohan’s departure from Alpine featured prominently.
Fans can look forward to an insider’s perspective on Lewis Hamilton’s inaugural season with Ferrari, as well as the fierce competition between Norris and Piastri at McLaren, alongside Max Verstappen’s impressive resurgence. Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, likened Verstappen to the relentless antagonist in a horror film, stating, “Max, he’s like that bad guy in that horror movie. He keeps coming back.”
The trailer also reflects on Christian Horner’s exit from Red Bull Racing. Horner commented, “I mean, everybody’s got an opinion. But don’t underestimate the opposition,” as he addressed the camera.
In subsequent scenes, viewers catch a glimpse of Horner with his wife, Geri Halliwell. “I’ve had something taken away from me that wasn’t my choice,” he expressed, before the footage transitions to him stating, “I think we’re done,” as he exits the set.
Returning to share their insights in this season are former F1 TV presenter Will Buxton and Claire Williams, the former principal of Williams Racing.
