Spire Motorsports has announced that two-time NASCAR Cup Series victor Kyle Busch will compete in eight races of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season. Additionally, fellow Cup Series competitors Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar are also expected to participate in a significant number of NCTS events alongside their Sunday commitments.
At 40 years old, Busch holds the record for the most victories in Truck Series history. His impressive tally includes 63 wins in the Cup Series and 102 in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, alongside 67 wins in the Truck Series.
His latest triumph occurred during a thrilling photo finish at Atlanta last year, while driving for Spire Motorsports. This year, he will take the wheel of the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for eight Truck races, with backing from HendrickCars.com.
“I’m thrilled that after NASCAR modified the ‘Kyle Busch rule,’ I could collaborate with Jeff (Dickerson, owner), Brian (Pattie, crew chief), and everyone at Spire Motorsports to maximize my race participation to the permitted eight this year,” Busch stated in a team release.
He continued, “The schedule we’ve arranged includes many tracks where I have enjoyed considerable success, but there are also some where I am yet to win in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, and I aim to change that. I am eager to head out for each race, giving everything we have to secure victories for Mr. H, HendrickCars.com, and our other partners throughout the season.”
