Fans have undoubtedly noticed that NASCAR star Joey Logano has gone completely bald.
After years of managing an autoimmune condition that impacted his hair, Logano has opted to fully embrace his new look. This journey, which included a partnership with HairClub for Men, has culminated in the three-time Cup Series champion adopting a polished, hair-free appearance.
Describing his new style as ‘hair-o-dynamic,’ Logano shared insights about his personal experience during Daytona 500 Media Day, where he provided some genuinely amusing reflections on his ‘hair journey.’
When asked about his hair transformation, Logano humorously remarked, “My hair journey? It don’t grow no more,” while laughing heartily.
Logano elaborated, explaining, “I have an autoimmune issue known as alopecia. I sometimes develop random bald spots, but they eventually grow back. After experiencing another flare-up, I thought to myself, ‘screw it,’ and decided that this was the simpler option.”
Coming to terms with his hair loss took some time for Logano, but he now finds it liberating. He shared a light-hearted moment from this winter when he entrusted clippers to his eight-year-old son, Hudson, encouraging him to have fun with it before his wife, Brittany, returned home.
“You can create this haircut at home,” he quipped.
Brittany has long supported Logano’s decision, and he often reassured her, saying, “Hey, whatever you want.”
Despite this, Logano has sought to dispel any rumors suggesting he might be struggling with this change. “I had been considering it and experienced another flare-up, leading me to say, ‘Okay, fine,’” he recounted. “I didn’t realize it had become a significant concern until I received messages from people checking in on me.”
Ultimately, Logano affirmed, “Yes, I’m fine,” highlighting that he had not anticipated the level of attention regarding his new appearance.
