Red Bull Racing RB22

This year marks a significant transformation in Formula 1 as the series introduces groundbreaking regulations that will alter both chassis and engine specifications. As the season begins in Australia, teams have revealed their contenders for 2026, showcasing their latest designs.

Red Bull set the stage by being the first to launch its 2026 vehicle, the RB22, at an event in Detroit, Michigan. This car represents a pivotal moment as it is the inaugural model to feature Red Bull’s self-developed powertrain, created in collaboration with the American automotive giant Ford.

Racing Bulls VCARB 03

Also unveiled at the Detroit gathering was the Racing Bulls VCARB 03, powered by the same Red Bull-Ford engine, which pays tribute to Red Bull’s founder, Dietrich Mateschitz. The vehicle made its initial on-track appearance during a filming event in Italy, although rookie driver Arvid Lindblad encountered some initial challenges, resulting in an off-track incident at Imola.

Haas VF-26

Now officially branded as the TGR Haas F1 Team following a new sponsorship deal with Toyota, the American squad will compete with the VF-26 this season. This new car has been eagerly anticipated, with Haas’s technical director Andrea De Zordo indicating that development has been ongoing since 2024.

Audi F1 Team R26

After acquiring the Sauber team, Audi unveiled its first Formula 1 car at an event in Berlin last week. This new racer features a bold silver, black, and red design and will utilize Audi’s own power unit, making it unique among its competitors.

Mercedes W17

Alpine A526

Alpine decided to halt development on its 2025 car early to focus on the A526, marking the first time the team will utilize a Mercedes engine. Reports indicate that the team gained a boost in confidence after testing the new car at Silverstone last week.

Williams FW48

Williams presented the design of its 2026 contender following the Barcelona shakedown, after delays in constructing the FW48 kept them from the test. The team revealed new graphics that feature a predominantly dark blue and black palette, consistent with previous designs, while incorporating lighter blue and white elements on the sidepods, along with branding from Barclays and Komatsu.

Cadillac F1

Cadillac made headlines by unveiling its inaugural Formula 1 livery during an advertisement aired during the 2026 Super Bowl. The yet-to-be-named car, powered by Ferrari, will be piloted by seasoned drivers Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas in the team’s first season in Formula 1.

McLaren MCL40

After testing the MCL40 in a temporary blacked-out design in Barcelona, the reigning champions McLaren finally disclosed the full design of their 2026 vehicle ahead of the Bahrain test. The car retains its signature papaya orange color, echoing the aesthetics of previous models while being built to conform to F1’s innovative 2026 regulations.

Aston Martin AMR26

Aston Martin concluded the unveiling of 2026 cars by presenting its new livery, embodying the classic British Racing Green associated with the brand. This model is significant as it is the first to be designed under Adrian Newey’s guidance, feature a Honda power unit, and showcase a satin paint finish.
