Raheem Sterling has officially parted ways with Chelsea FC, having reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract ahead of schedule.

The 31-year-old winger had 18 months left on his lucrative deal, which was valued at £325,000 per week.

After spending three and a half years at Stamford Bridge, Sterling leaves the club following his transfer from Manchester City in 2022 for a fee of £47.5 million.

Chelsea will provide Sterling with a financial settlement, which is expected to be less than the £20 million he would have received had he fulfilled the remaining duration of his contract.

“We appreciate Raheem’s contributions during his time with us and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Chelsea stated.

The England international played 81 matches for the Blues but had not taken part in any competitive fixtures since May 2024.
