Mansfield Town to Face Arsenal in FA Cup Fifth Round Draw

Mansfield players celebrate together after scoring at Turf Moor

Mansfield Town, currently competing in League One, is set to host Arsenal, a club with a storied history of 14 FA Cup victories, in the fifth round of this prestigious tournament.

The Stags pulled off an impressive feat by overcoming Premier League team Burnley with a score of 2-1, staging a remarkable comeback during the second half of their match at Turf Moor on Saturday.

In other matchups, Manchester City will travel to Newcastle United for one of two all-Premier League encounters, mirroring one of this season’s League Cup semi-final clashes.

Moreover, non-league side Macclesfield is on track to potentially meet a third consecutive top-tier opponent, as either they or Brentford will travel to face West Ham in the fifth round after their match on Monday night.

Sunderland will embark on their second straight away challenge in this competition, having been drawn against either Port Vale or Bristol City. Their fourth-round fixture has been postponed to Tuesday, March 3, at 19:45 GMT due to a waterlogged pitch.

Additionally, Wrexham, who are vying for promotion from the Championship, will host Chelsea, a team that has lifted the FA Cup trophy eight times.

All the exciting matches are scheduled to take place over the weekend of March 7-8.
