Be Quiet! Makes Its Debut in the Gaming Mouse Arena with Two New Options

Be Quiet! enters the gaming mouse market with a pair of kinda plain-looking competitive rodents

In a market already saturated with gaming mice, Be Quiet! has introduced two new models designed specifically for professional gamers. These mice, named the Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym, aim to enhance the competitive gaming experience.

Both models boast impressive specifications, featuring an extensive battery life of 110 hours at 1000 Hz, a lightweight design at 55 grams, and an 8000 Hz polling rate, even when operating wirelessly. They also support a maximum DPI of 32,000. The primary distinction between the two is that the Sym is designed to be symmetrical, while the Ergo is crafted with ergonomics in mind. Be Quiet! claims that the Ergo is designed for intuitive grip, but we will need to test it firsthand to determine its comfort.

Be Quiet! CEO Aaron Licht stated, “Our entry into the gaming mouse market was driven by a singular objective: to create an ultra-lightweight mouse that empowers users to excel at the highest levels of competition.”

Internally, both mice incorporate optical Omron D2FP-FN2 switches and the PixArt PAW3950 sensor. Users can customize their settings via a web-based application compatible with Windows, iOS, and even Linux (using Chromium-based browsers), eliminating the need for dedicated software—a thoughtful feature.

Scheduled for release on February 3, both the Ergo and Sym carry a suggested retail price of $110. Previous products from Be Quiet! have earned accolades, such as the Light Mount, which was named the best gaming keyboard of 2025, and the Shadow Base 800 FX case, which received high praise last year.

Nevertheless, these two new entries face significant challenges ahead. Lacking any notable unique features, their specifications appear fairly standard for their price range. For example, the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro is priced $10 lower, weighs 19 grams less, offers the same polling rate, and slightly higher DPI, albeit with 40 hours less battery life.

Alternatively, for just $20 more, gamers could opt for the Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed, which is ambidextrous, has a maximum DPI of 44,000, weighs 80 grams, and boasts a battery life of up to 95 hours. Both the Corsair and Logitech models are slightly older, which often means better deals are available.

The ultimate success of Be Quiet!’s gaming mice will largely depend on their performance and feel during use, aspects that cannot be adequately assessed through specifications alone. However, based on the quality of previous Be Quiet! products, there is much to anticipate.
