A Guide to Acquiring Azure Logs in Hytale

How to get Azure Logs in Hytale

In the vibrant world of Hytale, players can navigate through various biomes without the immediate need for specific logs. However, the quest for Azure Logs quickly transforms this leisurely exploration into a focused endeavor. These unique blue-grained logs are essential for crafting vital equipment upgrades, shifting the crafting paradigm away from the simple ‘any log will suffice’ mentality.

To upgrade the Armorer’s Workbench to Tier 2, a substantial quantity of Azure Logs is required. After dedicating several hours to collecting medium hides for leather, I found myself frustrated, having yet to secure even a single Azure Log. It became a rather tedious challenge—one that I can now look back on with a touch of embarrassment—though the name of the material itself hints at its source.

Locating Azure Logs in Hytale

Your first step in the quest for Azure Logs is to search for Azure Trees, which can be found in the striking blue forests marked on your map. While the majority of forests in Zone 1 are predominantly green, there are several distinctive biomes that stand out in orange or blue hues.

As you explore these biomes, keep an eye out for trees adorned with vivid blue leaves. Occasionally, you may encounter some green trees mixed in with the towering azure ones, leading to potential disappointment when you chop down an Oak Tree instead. Fear not, as you are still in the right area; just take a closer look at the foliage before making your next cut.

Alternatively, consider a more aggressive approach by clearing out the entire biome, ensuring that you will acquire at least some Azure Logs in the process.

Tips for Harvesting Azure Logs and Crafting Recipes

While any axe should be effective for this task, I personally chose to upgrade my workbench and crafted an Iron Axe as my second item, with the first being a pickaxe for gathering additional iron. The Iron Axe allows for quicker tree chopping, and beyond that, it significantly reduces the frequency of repairs needed. Given that a large portion of Hytale revolves around gathering resources, this upgrade is far from being an extravagant expenditure.

While immersed in the blue biome, it would be wise to take note of the various recipes requiring Azure Logs. This proactive step may prove invaluable, especially if your Hytale world seed has not generously provided an abundance of these logs, ultimately saving you time and effort.
