Finding Sturdy Chitin in Hytale

In the arid expanse of the Howling Sands, you can acquire sturdy chitin by defeating specific creatures, including:

• Scarak Defender
• Scarak Fighter
• Louse
• Seeker
• Broodmother
• Scorpions
• Armadillos
• Tortoises

While the more benign surface creatures, like tortoises, yield only one or two pieces of sturdy chitin, your best strategy involves targeting the Scarak species, particularly within their underground nests. As you navigate the caves of the Howling Sands, look for the distinctive grey or brown spotted blocks that signify a Scarak nest.

Within these nests, you’ll often find multiple Scarak relaxing, which presents a prime opportunity to gather sturdy chitin. Scarak Fighters typically drop one or two pieces, while Defenders can yield two or three per encounter. Additionally, you may notice blue egg sacs in these nests; breaking one will release a Louse, which can also drop extra sturdy chitin.
